11 August 2024, Taichung, Taiwan – FactorBikes has officially announced today the release of their new track bikes, theHANZŌ Track pursuit bike and the RAIDEN Track mass start bike.

In development for two years, the HANZŌTrack was tailor made for the Australian national track team. Optimizedaccording to the latest UCI design regulations, the Factor pursuit bike offersultra-efficient aerodynamics and maintains supreme rigidity for power transfer.Focusing on the interaction of the air flow between the bike and athlete, theHANZŌ Track employs a wide fork leg to better manage the airflow around therider's moving legs, and to produce cleaner airflow in the channel between theframe and the rider. The wide seatstays capture air off the legs and maintainthe flow conditions in open channel.

Taking advantage of the knowledge gainedduring the development phase of the HANZŌ Track and the OSTRO VAM road racingbike, the Factor RAIDEN Track bike balances the requirements to make thefastest straight-line bike with the need to remain more maneuverable whenracing in a group. The RAIDEN Track is a mass start track bike with a geometrytailored to a wide cross-section of track riders.

Complementing Factor’s move into trackracing, Black Inc has also concurrently released two sets of track wheels.Optimized in collaboration with Aus Cycling, the Black Inc ZERO Track discwheels prioritize stiffness, with aerodynamic performance designed for trackconditions.

The effectiveness of the design was quicklyproven when the men’s Australian Team Pursuit four-man squad set a new worldrecord time in the qualifying round at the Olympics in Paris on Tuesday, 6August 2024 while riding the HANZŌ Track bike equipped with the Black Inc Zero discwheelset. The success continued the following night when the Australian teamwon a gold medal in a thrilling finale against Great Britain. Factor won itsfirst ever gold medal, and Australia's first men’s team pursuit since 2004.
