QXL rings are Q-Rings with greater ovalization (16% vs. 10%) that were intended for existing Q-Ring users looking to capitalize on the performance benefits of oval rings. QXL¡¦s function the same as Q-Rings ¡X by maximizing the use of the most productive zones (increasing productive work) and minimizing the intensity of the weaker zones (decreasing negative work). Of course we would never discourage someone from reaching for QXL rings before Q-Rings, that choice depends on a variety of factors, including riding discipline, position, and bike setup. Q-Rings are ROTOR¡¦s flagship product, QXL rings were a natural progression from there.
